The Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released a proposed rule June 12 seeking to codify the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program in regulation. The proposal would largely codify existing guidance but also contains some new provisions and modifications, including a clarification regarding new formulations of drugs.
